I LOVE~LOVE~LOVE Halloween!
Love the FUN of it all! Love the Festivities!
Especially Love to party and costume!
I usually go “all out”, preparing my costume weeks in advance – it’s all about the details!
This year, I knew it would be difficult for me… financially and spiritually.
I had 2 parties to go to this year, and I don’t like to wear the same costume twice in one year, I’m funny that way. The first costume cost me around $10 (a T-shirt that was a Halloween adaptation of Munch’s “The Scream” with Halloween accessories), so I had to come up with another inexpensive one.
I came across Katie, who posted a comment on a Blog I read regularly – Morgan’s Mrs Priss. Morgan was blogging about a Halloween “Mystery Dinner” that her “Young Adult” group was having at her Church (Chim chiminey, Chim cher-oo). Everyone was assigned costumes that would remain secret until they showed up at the event. Morgan was to be “Mary Poppins” and her hubby was to be “Robin Hood”. Sounded like a Lot of Fun!

Anyway… in her comment, Katie mentioned her “Deviled Egg” costume that she wore last year (2008). I thought it sounded interesting. So I Googled “Deviled Egg Costume” and came up with This.
Nope, NOT what I was looking for.
So I emailed Katie, who pointed me to her Blog – Katie & Co.
There I found a photo of her version of the “Deviled Egg” costume… when I saw it, I Knew that was what I would be – So Cute!
When you utilize an idea from someone else, you need to “make it your own”, so I did! I had the black dress already. From Michael’s, I got 2 sheets of white and 1 sheet of yellow sticky-back felt ($6). From the resale shop I got a necklace, earrings and shoes – all red ($4), got my devil horns and tail at WalMart ($5). Got the green lame’ fabric piece (for the “parsley”) from an event at work. I already had the gold and red glitter glue. And after searching and searching, I Finally found a little pitchfork at DollarTree – and it was a yellow glowstick!!
THANKS, KATIE!
