What Is Cancer? An Alternative View.
The following is information that I found on the website CancerTruth.net. The information I read is very interesting and in line with the information presented via the “Healing Cancer Friom The Inside Out” video presention that I attended This way of thinking is becoming more and more how I believe – not quite so “radical”, but my way of belief nonetheless. I cannot image anyone not seeing this as a positive difference in thinking, a Positive way to treat. Tumors are Symptoms of the disease, they should Not be the Primary Targets. Lets get back to Healing Our Bodies.
What is Cancer?
Conventional medicine defines cancer as a colony of malignant cells, or a tumor. If you have a tumor, then the conventional oncologist will try to cut or slash it out via surgery. After they cut you, then they typically recommend chemo to try to kill any remaining cancer cells with toxic poisons. And they will finish off with radiation, to burn whatever cancer cells remain. This is why I, and many others, refer to “the Big 3” protocol as “Slash, Poison, and Burn.”
Alternative medicine sees cancer as a multidimensional, systemic total body disease. The tumor is merely a symptom and the purpose of the alternative cancer treatment is to correct the root causes of cancer in the whole body.
Why is my Doctor against Alternative Cancer Treatments?
Your doctor is against these treatments because from the first day of medical school, doctors are brainwashed into believing that disease can only be treated with drugs. You can rest assured that your doctor has likely been convinced that the only viable treatments for cancer are chemo, surgery, and radiation.
Most doctors have a tendency to believe that not only what they were taught in medical school must be true, but they also believe that what they were not taught must not be important! As a result, most doctors are still thinking “inside the box” when it comes to cancer. Doctors who think “outside the box” and treat the actual cause of disease rather than the symptoms are labeled as “quacks.”
And if that’s not enough…
…the FDA has a track record of raiding the offices of alternative practitioners, destroying their medical records, and putting them in jail…
In addition, many doctors are afraid of expensive, time consuming lawsuits, and their insurance carrier may drop them if they use alternative treatments. Their state medical boards may fine them and revoke their license.
And remember, doctors are human. Due to the fact that others doctors will publicly ridicule them if they use alternative treatments, many doctors succumb to recommending “the Big 3” as a result of peer pressure.
Do Alternative Treatments Work?
The evidence that there are literally hundreds of alternative cancer treatments which really do work is beyond voluminous. However, only a precious few treatments are strong enough and act fast enough to effectively treat a cancer patient who has been deemed to be “terminal” by his doctor.
What about tumors? According to Dr. Philip E. Binzel, MD…
The problem with many (not all) Doctors and Oncologists in today’s society is that they have been trained to be ‘tumor orientated’ … For example, when a patient is found to have a tumor, the only thing the doctor discusses with that patient is what he intends to do about the tumor…no one ever asks how the patient is doing. In my medical training, I remember well seeing patients who were getting radiation and/or chemotherapy. The tumor would get smaller and smaller, but the patient would be getting sicker and sicker. At autopsy we would hear, ‘Isn’t that marvelous! The tumor is gone!’ Yes, it was, but so was the patient. How many millions of times are we going to have to repeat these scenarios before we realize that we are treating the wrong thing?

Antineoplastons
There is So Much controversy around Dr. Burzynski and his antineoplastons. Seems to me, that a treatment that spares the body the ravages of chemo, while providing good results should be #1 on the list of the drug companies to explore, instead of attacking the Dr who has brought this treatment to light…
(Dr. Burzynski believes that) antineoplastons are nontoxic, naturally occurring peptides, amino acid derivatives, and organic acids that fight cancer with few if any side effects. Traditional radiation therapy and chemotherapies poison cancer cells and healthy cells as well; antineoplastons cause no harm to healthy cells. Although the detailed mechanism by which antineoplastons work is unknown, they may act as biochemical microswitches to turn off the genes that cause cancer, called oncogenes, and activate the genes that fight cancer, called tumor suppressor genes.
Because these drugs are harmless to healthy cells the body can be flooded with antineoplastons, and only cancer cells are affected. Patients typically carry a small pump that delivers antineoplastons directly into the bloodstream at regular intervals. Some patients take capsules orally.“

Steroids
I’ve been having an issue with feeling poorly. Major headaches, bad enough to wake me up at night… and my lymph nodes, both under my neck and under my left armpit – the cancer side – are tender. Also, am having increased pain my in breast.
I don’t know what’s going on. I have a PET scan coming up in a couple weeks, so all I can do is be nervous which is not good. Easy to say not to worry, cuz I DO worry, so don’t bother.
Dr. Deleon has ordered some steroids for me to take – a Medrol pack.
Oh joy – more meds.
Healing from the Inside Out – A Seminar
This evening I attended a very interesting seminar @ Lakewood United Methodist Churchon Louetta.
Was invited by an old high school friend, Nache’.
It was about your health and the foods you eat. Of course everything was very single-sided, as most presentations are. But I have to say – it Did Make A Lot Of Sense. And provided information that I am glad to have.
There was a special guest, Dr. Desiree Jones, who spoke first.
Dr. Jones had some very good opinions of health and causes of disease, definitely worth considering.
Then a video presentation of “Healing Cancer from the Inside Out” which promoted the Rave diet & lifestyle. It is probably a bit too much for me to totally embrace, but I am going to try and incorporate as much into my life as I can. I already eat lots and lots of fresh fruits and veggies, and could definitely limit the meat intake, so that will be good changes. Interesting to hear about the oils though, had not really considered how bad oils are for the body.
Mom ordered the DVD for her and Dad to view…
The evening was not at all what I thought it would be… I thought it would be a well-attended, spirit-filled event.
But there was only a hand full of people – mostly women.
However, the information was Awesome and I’m Very Glad I attended!

Pink Rig – Rogue Pressure Services
Now THIS is about not only Talking the Talk, but WALKING THE WALK!
Rogue Pressure Services Unveils First ‘Pink Rig’ in the Gas and Oil Industry
“A Colorado-based company has built the Pink Rig, a hydraulic workover unit with snubbing capabilities that is literally painted pink. Rogue Pressure Services is using the unusual color scheme in the gas and oil industry to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research.
Rogue has partnered with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation(R) and will donate 1 percent of revenue generated by use of the Pink Rig annually to the Foundation. The project has been dubbed Rigging Up Against Breast Cancer by Rogue employees and management.
Rogue says the uniquely colored rig is not a gimmick but instead a clear statement of its pledge to support breast cancer research and awareness.
“We are committed to championing the fight against this deadly disease,” said Barry Peterson, co-owner of Rogue Pressure Services. “As a company, we wanted to find a way to give back; the more we spoke to our employees the more we realized that breast cancer is a cause that our company as a whole wants to fight. Almost everyone in our organization has been affected in one way or another by breast cancer.”"
WAY TO GO ROGUE PRESSURE SERVICES!!

Pink Overload?
After reading this article, I have to rethink my “Go For It” mentality on my previous post, so – Yes, I’m kinda thinking so… as always, its about the almighty dollar ~sigh~
Pink overload: Are companies taking advantage of Breast Cancer Awareness Month?
(Article courtesy of Yahoo! Shine)
The reds and oranges of changing foliage may be the traditional colors of October, but pink is gaining on them fast as this month marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month. NFL players are wearing pink cleats and sweatbands, pink food is everywhere, and store aisles are awash in a sea of pink products, many bearing the familiar pink ribbon that signals breast cancer awareness and fundraising. But here’s the thing: Buying pink does not always mean your green will go to cancer research.
If you buy a cleaning product adorned with pink packaging and the ubiquitous breast cancer pink ribbon, for example, that pink ribbon is unlicensed and unregulated, so any company can use it, leaving the real work to consumers to figure out if the products they buy will really help the cause. Take Procter & Gamble’s pink ribbon-bedecked Swiffer mop. Daily Finance’s Aimee Picchi reports that although the words “early detection saves” accompany the Swiffer’s pink ribbon, simply purchasing the mop will not help fundraising efforts. Procter & Gamble told Picchi that the company will make a two-cent donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation only if a consumer uses a coupon from its brand saver coupon book, which could only be found in newspapers on Sept. 27.
“If the label says, ‘Money will go to support breast cancer,’ well, what does that mean?” Barbara Brenner, the executive director of advocacy group Breast Cancer Action, tells Daily Finance. “If it says it will support breast cancer awareness without being specific, it’s not going anywhere.”
Meanwhile, many companies that do give generously to breast-cancer fundraising efforts cap their donations, the Boston Globe notes in this extensive piece, “Sick of Pink,” even if sales of pink-adorned products are strong and bring in more than expected. Partners of the Texas-based Susan G. Komen for the Cure, which raised nearly $50 million last year from more than 250 corporations that gave Komen some proceeds from product sales, are required to tell consumers on their product packaging how purchasing their products will help Komen, and whether the company has a minimum or maximum donation.
Pair heightened consumer awareness with growing outrage among women breast cancer survivors over the overly pink, overly sweet, over-commercialization of breast cancer, and you could have the makings of an anti-pink backlash. Author Barbara Ehrenreich was one of the first to give voice to outrage over the infantilization and commercialization of women’s breast cancer experiences in her 2001 Harper’s Magazine essay, “Welcome to Cancerland.” She wrote of the cornucopia, starting with teddy bears, of “pink-ribbon-themed breast-cancer products.”
“You can dress in pink-beribboned sweatshirts, denim shirts, pajamas, lingerie, aprons, loungewear, shoelaces, and socks; accessorize with pink rhinestone brooches, angel pins, scarves, caps, earrings, and bracelets; brighten up your home with breast-cancer candles, stained-glass pink-ribbon candleholders, coffee mugs, pendants, wind chimes, and night-lights; pay your bills with special BreastChecks or a separate line of Checks for the Cure. ‘Awareness’ beats secrecy and stigma of course, but I can’t help noticing that the existential space in which a friend has earnestly advised me to “confront [my] mortality” bears a striking resemblance to the mall.”
On her blog, The Assertive Cancer Patient, Jeanne Sather also decries the pink-themed commercialization. She leads a “Boycott October” movement to put an end to the often misleading merchandising of the disease. “I keep hoping that each year will be the year that the tide turns, and women say ENOUGH to pink-ribbon Tic Tacs, pink-ribbon laundry soap, pink-ribbon panties, and all the other pink merchandise that appears every fall,” she writes on her blog.
So what’s a caring consumer to do? Breast Cancer Action’s “Think Before You Pink” campaign suggests five questions you can ask before laying down cash for a pink-tinged product. Number one: “How much money from your purchases actually goes toward breast cancer, and is the amount clearly stated on the package?”
You can also bypass products altogether and donate directly to organizations that give directly to cancer research and help women with cancer and their families. Here are a few:
