Missed Work
Because I am a temp, if I don’t work I don’t get paid. And I don’t have health insurance… This cancer diagnosis and the associated treatment / recovery (the cost of my medications, tests, treatments (chemo, radiation, etc), surgery and (Hopefully) any reconstruction) will have to be paid “out-of-pocket”. Thankfully, most Doctors and Services DO offer a discounted rate for people in my situation – some offer more of a discount percentage than others – but ANY discount is a blessing for me.
Despite discounts, the overall cost to cover my treatment and recovery, excluding reconstruction, will be in excess of $100,000.00.
Yes, it’s gonna be a Tough Fight, in more ways than one…
Following are my timesheets, indicating the work hours/days I have missed due to any Dr appointments, tests, treatments (chemo, radiation, etc), surgery, etc related to this diagnosis.
(May 2009 – this info will be added when I am able.)
(Oct 2009 – I have not yet downloaded this info, there is just So Much To Do. Anyone who knows anyone undergoing cancer treatments Knows how wearing it is on the body, mind and spirit. My typical work week has gone from 40 hours to an average of 32 hours. I push myself because I HAVE to, there is no one else to “pick up the slack”.)
