Lip Service

First it was my fingers – dry and splitting

Then my toes and heels – dry and splitting

when one stops working
switch to the other
constant rotation

Now…

my lips – dry and splitting
raw
clown mouth

when one stops working
switch to the other
constant rotation

each day is
an adventure
more adventure.

My poor lips...

This is going to sound weird, but the best thing I have found fro dry lips is Burts Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who used BB Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream on my lips too! LOL! How strange….and yes it works wonderfully.

Anyways, the reason I’m posting….I’ve got a problem with dry hands that crack and split on my knuckles. So I talked to my doctor and she recommended I put Skin Crack Care by Nexcare on the cracks, let it dry (about 1-2 minutes) and then put lotion on top of it. It helps the cracks keep from getting infected and seals them from anything else getting in and irritating them. It also helps the cracks heal faster! Bonus, the cracks stop hurting because they are healing and not getting pulled on every time you brush up against something. (I got it at Walgreens was about $7)

Just so you are clear….you can NOT use the Skin Crack Care on your lips or near your eyes!
